so am i gathering that we wont get the free beer wristbands this year automatically just for running? we have to pay more for some beverages after the race??
This will be my 3rd year running and it is such a blast for a great cause. I'm not real thrilled about running in the sand at the start of the race b/c that means we will have to run the rest of the race with our shoes full of sand.
Hi Cathy this will be my first run ever I too am doing couch to 5 k. We are coming there for vacation from Ohio so I am a little nervous. I wish you well
Hi There. I'm getting back in shape and have set completing the 5K portion of this run as my goal. I've never done this before so I have some silly questions. Is this run on the sand? I can't get the Map tab to open so I'm not really sure where it starts and finishes. Where are some safe hotels close by the race site for me (single older woman) to stay in the night before? Are there prizes by age group or just overall? Well, that part doesn't really matter to me because my prize is supporting this great cause AND reaching my goal.
Are there any other 'mature' newbies out there who are running? I'm training using the Couch-To-5K program. What about you?

Registration is not open until Jan1, 2012. You must have tried to register when the webmaster was working on the site.
